Pharr “hopped” into the craft beer movement several years ago often sampling a friendly fruit beer. She weaves her passion for laughter, horticulture, and education into the creation of uniquely designed Maryland beer-themed apparel.

The distinctive Beer Tease crest with shield is based on themes from the Maryland flag. Lord Baltimore selected elements of his family crest, the Calvert and Crossland family coats of arms. The first brewery in Maryland was awarded to Benjamin Fordham by Queen Anne of England in 1703. In Frederick, Kuhn, Heck, Baer, Lipps, and Hauser founded breweries that were located on Brewer’s Alley along Carroll Creek. Western Maryland German and Swiss immigrants used special yeast and old world recipes in the mid-1800s to create a tasty lighter beer, the lager.
